Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 September 2026
Nakshatra operates bynakshatra.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We are currently a pre-launch site — the only information you can actively give us is your email address.
1. Who we are
This site is operated by [Registered entity name], trading as Nakshatra, of [registered address], India. For anything relating to your data, write to bynakshatra1@gmail.com or call +91 89500 25604.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. Your email address, when you submit it through the notify form. If you email, call, or message us, we also receive whatever you choose to include — your name, phone number, and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and time of visit. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
We do not collect payment information through this site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data.
3. Why we use it
- To send you a preview email shortly before we open, and one email when the collection goes live.
- To reply to enquiries you send us.
- To understand basic traffic patterns and protect the site against misuse.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Your consent
When you submit your email address you are consenting to receive launch-related emails from us. You can withdraw that consent at any time — use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or write to bynakshatra1@gmail.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, our lawful basis for marketing emails is your consent, and our basis for security logging is our legitimate interest in operating the site.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers who help us run this site — our website host and our email delivery provider. They process it on our instructions and for no other purpose.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may disclose it where we are required to by law, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
Some of these providers may store data outside India. Where that is the case, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable standard of protection.
6. How long we keep it
Your email address stays on our list until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. If you never open or engage with anything we send, we will remove your address within 24 months of our launch. Correspondence is kept only as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry.
7. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — and under the GDPR where it applies to you — you can ask us to:
- confirm what data we hold about you, and give you a copy of it;
- correct or complete anything that is wrong or missing;
- erase your data;
- stop processing it, or withdraw your consent;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf, in the event of your death or incapacity.
Write to bynakshatra1@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or — if you are in the EEA or UK — to your local supervisory authority.
8. Cookies
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly necessary for the site to function. If we add analytics or marketing tools later, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
9. Children
This site is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top.
12. Contact and grievances
For any question, request, or complaint about your personal data, contact our grievance officer:
